Another retouched photo

This one is from my first birthday party (so July, 1984).  It was a scanned photograph, original size about 3x5 - remember those old prints with the rounded edges?  I restored the color and brightened it up.  Took about 45 minutes.

The Meaning Behind the Names

As I mentioned in my last post (actually the comments to it), we've picked the names Connor Liam and Cassandra Lily for our new addition. Some people have asked, so to have it all in one place, here is the reason we chose the names we did:

Firstly, we wanted names that had the initials CL for hubby's brother who died a few years ago.

Second, hubby is a big comic book fan; Connor is the alter-ego name of Super Boy and Cassandra is the name of Bat Girl. I happened to love the names, so the fact that they came from comics doesn't bother me.

As for middle names, Lily is the meaning of my maiden name, and Liam is just the best "L" name that flows with Connor.

Mid-Year Resolution

Well, it's halfway through the year and I'm about halfway through my pregnancy (can you guess which I'm more excited about?). I've been really slacking on my crafting...and almost all household chores. Now I'm really going to try to get back on track before November.

I'm in the process of switching my Etsy store from handmade items to hand-drafted patterns that I can sell as PDF files. I figure this way I can spend less time at the sewing machine, but still *hopefully* make sales. I'm loving that the new Etsy search feature actually shows my items instead of burying them beneath all the re-listers.

So my resolutions are:
1) Spend at least 15 minutes each day cleaning, and at least 3 days working on the baby room
2) Spend at least one day each week updating my Etsy store (preferably listing new items)
3) Post at least one new blog entry per week - be it crafting or baby related
3) Do my prenatal yoga workout every morning so I'll have energy to accomplish the above!

Ok - that shoud do it! Keep it simple, right?
